How Do I Rent Out My Ships in Star Atlas?

To rent out your fleet in Star Atlas and start earning Atlas tokens, follow these steps:

1. Prepare Your Assets:

   • Ships: Ensure you have the ships needed to form a fleet: Star Atlas Inventory
   • Crew: Gather enough crew to man your ships. A fleet cannot be formed without personnel, Crew Inventory
   • Fees: Have Atlas or Solana available to cover transaction fees.
   • Optional: Fill your fleet with fuel and ammunition to make it more attractive to renters, Star Atlas Inventory

2. Set Up Your Profile:

   • Visit based.staratlas.com to create your profile by choosing a name and selecting your faction
   • By default, Atlas Prime is enabled (using Atlas for transaction fees). To switch to Solana fees, click the settings cog, go to "Manage Section Settings," and disable Atlas Prime.

3. Import Your Assets:

   • Access your faction’s Central Space Station (CSS).
   • Navigate to the Port of Entry tab and import your ships, crew, and resources

4. Form Your Fleet:

   • Go to the Hangar tab and click Form New Fleet.
   • Select the ships you want to include. Note that there is a maximum fleet capacity (up to 45 ships), which fills faster with larger ships.
   • Ensure you have enough crew available at your CSS or Starbase; otherwise, you will see an error.
   • (Optional) To enhance your fleet’s appeal, click Full Refuel to fill the fuel tank and Full Rearm to stock the ammo bank.

5. List Your Fleet for Rent:

   • Visit play.staratlas.com and click on the Fleet Rentals icon in the side navigation bar.
   • Connect your wallet. Your newly formed fleet should appear under the My Fleet Inventory tab.
   • Choose the fleet you wish to rent out, set your daily rental rate in Atlas, and click List for Rent.
   • Your fleet will remain listed continuously until you cancel the listing. If canceled, you’ll regain control of your fleet once the current rental period ends or if the renter cancels early.
