What is VWAP?

(Volume Weighted Average Price)

VWAP stands for Volume Weighted Average Price. In Star Atlas, it represents the average price at which a specific ship was initially sold by the developers (ATMTA), weighted by the quantity sold.

How is VWAP calculated?

The VWAP of a ship is calculated by:

Total revenue if all ships were sold at intended price (in USDC)
÷
Total number of ships available

This gives the average price per unit, accounting for different sale volumes and price tiers.

VWAP is not a marketplace price it doesn’t reflect current trading prices on the open market, but rather the developer’s original price curve.
