In SAGE, the system automatically assigns the required crew members to ships in your fleet to ensure they can operate effectively. However, if your ships have available passenger slots, you can manually add extra crew members to your fleet. This can be useful for transporting crew between starbases or for other strategic purposes. Here’s how to manually add crew to your fleet.

Create Your Fleet: Before adding any crew members, ensure that your fleet is created in SAGE. For detailed instructions, follow this guide on creating a fleet.

Check for Available Passenger Slots: Manual addition of crew members is only possible for ships with available passenger slots, such as the Lowbie, Maxhog, and Niruch. These ships have additional space beyond the crew needed for basic operations.

Select Your Fleet in the Starbase Hangar: Navigate to the Starbase Hangar and select the fleet you wish to manage. Make sure to choose a fleet with ships that have available passenger slots.

Open the Passenger Tab: Click on the Passenger tab to access the management options for adding or removing crew members.

Add Crew Members: In the Add or Remove Fleet Passengers section, select the number of crew members you want to add to your fleet. Remember, this option is only available for ships with extra passenger slots; the system will automatically fill the required crew slots for operational purposes.

Finalize the Passenger Manifest: After selecting the desired crew members, click on FINALIZE PASSENGERS MANIFEST to confirm your changes.
