How to Earn ATLAS in Star Atlas

ATLAS is the main utility token of the Star Atlas economy. It can be used to buy NFTs (ships, crew, resources, skin and more) and reduce marketplace fees and most importantly, you can earn it directly by playing.

Here are the primary ways to earn ATLAS today:

Play-to-Earn in SAGE Labs (via Starbased)

SAGE Labs is a browser-based blockchain game where all player actions are on-chain. You’ll need a Solana wallet, a small amount of SOL, and some starting assets (ship, crew, and R4 resources).

Once you're in, you can earn ATLAS through the following methods:

1. Mine Resources and Sell Them

Travel the Galia Expanse, extract raw materials, and sell them to other players through the Star Atlas Marketplace or directly on-chain.

2. Craft and Sell Components

Use raw materials to craft items, like refined resources, components, or ship parts—and sell them for ATLAS.

3. Submit Resources to Starbase

Deliver resources to help maintain and upgrade your faction’s Starbases.

  • Contribute to upkeep: Keep the Starbase operational and functional for all players.

  • Help upgrade Starbase tiers: Your contributions support the faction’s progress and unlock faster crafting and other benefits.

In return, you earn Loyalty Points (LP) that can be redeemed for ATLAS

4. Craft and Sell FICs (Faction Infrastructure Contracts)

Faction Infrastructure Contracts (FICs) are special items you can craft at any Starbase controlled by your faction. Once crafted, they can be sold back to the Council of Peace for a fixed reward of 2 ATLAS per FIC through faction-specific buy orders at designated Starbases.

  • Each faction has a unique recipe requiring components like Frameworks and Survey Data Units.

  • FIC buy orders rotate dynamically. A refill and rotation  occurs only after both FIC buy orders for a faction have been fully depleted.

  • Sales are subject to the standard 6% Marketplace fee (reduced if you lock ATLAS).

  • This system complements LP rewards and provides a predictable, guaranteed income stream for crafters and haulers.

5. Rent Out Your Fleet

You can list your SAGE fleet on the Fleet Rental platform (found on play.staratlas.com) and let other players rent your ships. This allows you to earn passive ATLAS from unused assets
