The C4 PTR map is where you can view the Galia Expanse, locate sectors, identify faction-controlled territory, and access important points of interest.
This guide explains the basic map information you need before exploring deeper systems in C4 PTR.
Faction territory colors
The map uses colors to show which faction controls each area of space.
The faction colors are:
- Red: MUD
- Blue: ONI
- Yellow: Ustur
- White: Neutral or uncontrolled territory
As factions conquer territories, the color of those sectors may change to match the controlling faction.
Border sectors
Players can only enter opposing faction regions from border sectors.
If you are trying to move into enemy territory, make sure you are entering from a valid border sector.
You may also need to unlock the required nodes in Council Rank before you can enter enemy regions.
Zooming on the map
Zooming is important when using the C4 PTR map.
You may need to zoom in to locate:
- Fleets
- Bases
- Warp lanes
- Other map details
To zoom in or out, use your mouse wheel while your cursor is over the map.
- Scroll up to zoom in.
- Scroll down to zoom out.
Adjusting browser zoom
Some text on the map or inside menus may appear small.
If you need to make the interface easier to read, you can adjust your browser zoom.
To do this:
- Hold CTRL.
- Use your mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
This can help make small text easier to read or give you more room for the game interface.
What to do next
Once you understand the basics of the map, you can start using the main map menus to manage your fleets, inventory, crew, crafting efforts, scans, buildings, and galaxy view.
Check the C4 PTR menu overview for more information about the menus available from the map screen.
