Fleet movement allows you to travel between locations in the Galia Expanse.
In C4 PTR, fleets can move using different movement options depending on distance, speed, fuel, and available routes.
Note: C4 PTR is still in development. Movement rules, costs, travel times, and available routes may change over time.
Before you start
Before moving a fleet, make sure:
- Your fleet has been created.
- Your fleet is undocked.
- Your fleet has the required fuel or access to the selected travel method.
- You have selected the fleet from the map or from the My Fleets menu.
If you have not created a fleet yet, check the How to Create and Use a Fleet in C4 PTR guide first.
Fleet movement options
Depending on your fleet and destination, you may see different movement options.
The main movement options are:
- Warp
- Subwarp
- Warp Gate
Subwarp
Subwarp is used to travel longer distances, but it is slower than Warp.
To use Subwarp:
- Select your fleet.
- Click Subwarp from the fleet action menu.
- Move your mouse over the map to choose a destination.
-
Review the movement preview, including travel distance, ETA, and fuel consumption.
- Click your destination.
-
Click Start Subwarp at the bottom of the screen.
Tip for long-distance Subwarp
If you want to move farther away:
- Zoom out using your mouse wheel.
- Move around the map until you find the area you want to reach.
- Zoom back in if needed.
- Select your destination.
This makes it easier to choose a destination that is farther from your current location.
Warp
Warp is faster than Subwarp, but usually works over shorter distances and consumes more fuel.
To use Warp:
- Select your fleet.
- Click Warp from the fleet action menu.
- Choose your destination on the map.
- Review the travel information.
- Confirm the movement order.
Warp is useful when you want to move faster and your destination is within available Warp range.
Warp Gate
Warp Gate travel is different from normal fuel-based movement:
- It is very fast.
- It costs ATLAS.
- It does not consume normal fleet travel resources.
- It is limited to accessible gates.
Warp Gate travel can be used when the required route is available, such as when your faction controls the relevant start and destination regions.
To use a Warp Gate:
- Select your fleet.
- Click Warp Gate from the fleet action menu.
- Review the list of available gates.
- Check the ATLAS cost and travel time.
- Select the gate destination.
- Confirm the travel order.
